Terrence Wall

Terrence Wall is the President and CEO of the T. Wall companies that specialize in development of multi-family communities. Wall received his B.A. in Economics and M.S. in Real Estate Investment and Appraisal from the #1 nationally ranked Wisconsin School of Business Grasskamp Real Estate Center. He is a natural entrepreneur with a number of tech start-ups.

Wall developed the largest office portfolio in Wisconsin, previously taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, creating the very first Sustainable Development Course in the world, and he has completed numerous philanthropic works, including Stone Horse Green in Middleton, the John Wall Family Pavilion at Tenney Park, the Boy Scout Service Center, the Carousel building at the Henry Vilas Zoo, Village of Maple Bluff Village Center, the student kitchen at Edgewood Grade School, and he created five public parks (Patriot Park, High Crossing Park, Woodland Adventure Park, Lucille Taylor Park, and Sam Jacobsen Park. Mr. Wall has been honored by the Mayor of Madison as a leader in green development and is the only developer to receive the Governor's Award for Excellence in Energy Efficiency. Mr. Wall is also a licensed broker and serves on the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank's Wisconsin Economic Roundtable. Wall also created the Terrence Wall North Mendota Bike Trial, convincing five separate local and state governments to each build their own section along with Wall building a section on his property.

Previous served on the County's Urban Block Grant commission; was president of the local Boy Scout Council, and served ten years as a National Ski Patroller, including earning Patrol Candidate of the Year, Junior Patroller of the Year, and Regional Junior Patroller of the Year. Wall also earned his Eagle Scout and served as a Scoutmaster for ten years. Wall created and serves as Chair of the Community of Bishops Bay HOA, the largest HOA and new community in Wisconsin. Wall also founded the developers association 25 years ago and served as Chair for ten years and today Smart Growth Madison is the most successful association in the state. Wall founded the Far East Side Business Association 30 years ago and served for six years as its president and that organization still exists today.

Finally, Wall worked with his extended family to sponsor three classrooms and other learning spaces at the new American Family Children's Hospital so that child patients can continue their learning experience via local school district provided teachers who teach classes in the hospital, a totally new system they never tired before. The idea and the impetus behind it was Wall, who had spent 3.5 years in the adult hospital at age 7 for open heart surgery and another 3 months after that in bed at home, missing most of first grade, requiring him to retake that grade.

Terrence Wall has previously raised donations for and developed the Dane County Children’s Zoo Carousel Building, Boy Scouts, Glacier’s Edge Council Office and Store and the John Wall Family Pavilion at Tenney Park. He has also been a major donor to Edgewood High School, American Family Children’s Hospital, James A. Graaskamp Real Estate Center, Congress Park, High Crossing Park, Madison Central Library, Madison Children’s Museum, Middleton’s Soccer Field, Asset Builders of America, and Domestic Abuse Intervention Services.

T. Wall Enterprises has been honored with many awards throughout the years. Here are a few we’d like to share.

Improved Water Quality

Partnered with Dane County and the Clean Lakes Alliance, an organization devoted to improving the water quality of the lakes, streams, and wetlands of the Yahara River watershed, T. Wall Enterprises preserved and improved water through environmentally conscience development practices, specifically by building additional stormwater detention ponds that were not required to prevent minerals and phosphates from entering Dorn Creek and the Yahara River Watershed.

Renewable Energy Recognition

T. Wall Enterprises is honored to be the first developer to receive the city of Madison's first official recognition for sustainable energy practices.

Veritas Village installed the largest solar installation east of the Mississippi River for a multi-family property. The 187kWdc solar array of 704 panels will offset 65% of the common area electrical requirement at Veritas Village, a 189-unit multi-family development on N. Livingston Street.

In addition, T. Wall Enterprises has contracted with SunPeak to complete 5 additional solar installations — for a total of 1,892 more solar panels on other developments, the most of any developer in the midwest

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce – Friend of the Environment Award

Received the Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment – Environmental Stewardship Award for conservation, energy efficiency measures, efficient use of construction materials, water conservation, and recycling measures.

Governor’s Award in Energy Efficiency

The first and only development company to ever receive the award, which recognizes outstanding efforts towards installing innovative electrical equipment to reduce electrical usage.

Madison Gas & Electric

T. Wall Enterprises was the beta test site for installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in multi-family properties, making it the first apartment developer to include EV chargers in the entire Midwest.

RENEW Wisconsin

For receiving the Renewable Energy Champion Award for their support of renewable energy. As of June 2018, T. Wall Enterprises has put in place more solar capacity than any other developer of multifamily dwellings active in Wisconsin.

Focus on Energy

T. Wall Enterprises was the only partner with Focus on Energy, teaching the team at Focus how to retrofit and install energy efficient equipment in older and new buildings. While other developers were taught by Focus how to install green components, T. Wall Enterprises taught Focus how to do it over a five year period.
