Covered Bridge Residences is located in Windsor, Wisconsin, which is adjacent to DeForest, Lake Windsor, and the Yahara River. Windsor sits right in the middle of DeForest to the west, Sun Prairie to the east, and Madison to the south. Nearby Madison offers a variety of exciting retail shops in and around East Towne Mall, as well as a wide variety of bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The City of Sun Prairie continues to develop its ever-expanding Prairie Lakes Retail District which includes anchor tenants such as Marcus Theatres, Cabela’s, Costco, Target, and Starbucks, to name a few.
Enjoy ample recreational opportunities, including several parks and trails for biking, hiking, running, and walking. According to the Department of Natural Resources, the Yahara River has uniquely pristine waters, which makes for great fishing, canoeing, and kayaking, not to mention hiking along the Upper Yahara River Trail. In addition, the community’s location offers direct access to six major highways, including the recently redesigned Highway 51 as well as Interstates 39/90/94 and U.S. Highway 151, and is a short drive to Dane County Regional Airport.
